Waarschip 30 LD

The Waarschip 30 LD is a development of the proven 28 LD. We have updated the design to the latest standards, we have also gone back to the Waarschip basics. Sailing fun and performance have been put back in first place, making the boat ideal for fast daysailing, shorthanded sailing or clubracing. 

The deck layout features a large open cockpit with plenty of working space. The genoa winches have been put on the cabin top and double as halyard winches , saving weight, cost and leaving a clutter free deck. The traveler is placed behind the helmsman, out of harms way for the crew.

The 9/10 rig is an IRC style rig with double swept back spreaders and a non overlapping jib. To provide extra speed downwind an asymmetric spinnaker is carried on a fixed bowsprit, simple, strong and leak free.  The keel is T shaped with an iron fin and a cast lead bulb providing maximum stability.

Like the rest of the boat the interior is very functional, but not completely stripped out. The seating area is in the widest part of the boat with the chart table and galley forward giving an open and roomy feeling, with but plenty of room to lounge, fold sails and sleep 6 racing crew.
